Wow, where do I start. I can’t say enough good things about Scott Lee Rudge Construction. My wife and I selected Scott to lead our custom home build, which is the first home my wife and I have built together, so we had lots to learn. The building process went exceptionally smoothly with Scott. Over the course of the project, Scott was always very communicative, and set our expectations well. There were a few challenges along the way, but Scott always worked collaboratively with us to determine the best resolution. We were recommended Scott Rudge by our realtor, after purchasing a large home needing updating and remodeling.
After our initial meeting, Scott offered to have us tour two of his recent home projects: a remodel and a new construction. At both sites, the homeowners greeted Scott with handshakes and hugs, which we took as a good sign!
Over the past nine months, the following projects have been planned, scheduled, and completed:
- Full kitchen including cabinets, sinks, quartzite counter tops, lighting, appliances.
- Three full bathrooms and one powder room – again full scope of flooring, vanities, plumbing, fixtures, lighting. Our master bath is a showcase and magazine worthy, with the addition of a chandelier, make-up area and smart toilet.
- The laundry room was redesigned for higher function and efficiency.
- The master closet containing the home’s electronics was redone to include a closet, keeping the equipment behind closed doors.
- The family room fireplace mantel, cabinets, and ceiling lights were replaced.
- An outdoor shower was installed.
- Hardwood floors were replaced on the entire first floor.
This is a significant amount of work over the past nine months! One of Scott’s goals was to minimize the disruption to our day-to-day home life, and as he said, “Give you back your home” as soon as possible.
Scott is the contractor we could trust. His attention to detail, high personal standards and excellent communication have kept us well informed on the progress, the challenges and the solutions. We have an incredible home to enjoy for many years. Scott patiently followed through the plan for each phase to ensure all steps were discussed, with our comfort. We completed a master bath remodel with Scott in the spring of 2020. During this process we interviewed designers, design-build contractors, and contractors. Scott was referred to us by a friend who had her kitchen remodeled by him and his team. Once we met him we knew he was the fit for us. He helped us with design issues and was very straightforward when I’d come up with a crazy idea that he thought wouldn’t work or where the bang wouldn’t be worth the buck. He promised a six week time frame and I think we were pretty much done in the time and within the budget he projected. His team was awesome. We were concerned about having people in our house during the COVID spring but they were cautious and completely respectful. Scott was instrumental in advising us and his suggestions were spot on. We ended up with the bathroom we’ve been dreaming about since we bought our house. The workmanship is second to none, the cabinet company he uses is amazing, and we were able to live/work in our home during the remodel because they were totally clued in to our needs. I am relieved and grateful we’ve found a contractor who I can trust and whose standards are as high as ours. This will be a long term relationship and I can recommend him wholeheartedly.
